IrDA (Infrared Data Association)
The Infrared Data Association (IrDA) was formed in 1993 by about 50 companies including HP, IBM, Sharp, and Sony. IrDA defines point-to-point infrared wireless transfer.
Wrong Mode or transfer rate causes decode failures. For channel-prefix differences, see Settings.
Decode Settings
- Channel: Assign the Logic Analyzer channel for the IrDA signal.
- Invert Waveform: Invert the waveform before analysis. Field enabled (Enable) when checked. Default: cleared.
- Mode:
- SIR: Switch to SIR mode and enter the transfer rate. Enables (Enable) the SIR rate field and disables (Disable) HDLC rate.
- HDLC: Switch to HDLC mode and enter the transfer rate. Enables (Enable) the HDLC rate field and disables (Disable) SIR rate.
- 4PPM (FIR): Default: this mode selected. Both SIR and HDLC rate fields are disabled (Disable).
