LCD1602 (Liquid Crystal Display 1602)
LCD1602 is a common liquid-crystal display interface for 5×8 or 5×11 character glyphs. Variants share the same basic principle. The bus uses 11 lines: Instruction/Data Register Select (RS), Read/Write Select (RW), Enable (E), and 8-bit or 4-bit data lines (DB0–DB7 / DB0–DB3). There is no fixed frequency range.
Wrong Data Mode yields incorrect data-line decode; in 4 Lines mode, DB4–DB7 are field disabled (Disable). For channel-prefix differences, see Settings.
Decode Settings
- Channel: Assign RS, RW, E, and DB0–DB7 to logic analyzer channels.
- Data Mode: Choose data lines by transfer width.
- 8 Lines: Use DB0–DB7. Default: this mode selected.
- 4 Lines: Use DB0–DB3; DB4–DB7 are field disabled (Disable) when selected.
- To merge the same command: Merge identical commands after analysis. Field enabled (Enable) when checked. Default: checked.
