LPT (Parallel Port)

LPT (Line Printer Terminal Port) has been a common PC parallel interface since the 1980s, primarily for printers and other peripherals. This decode supports EPP Mode only.

When /nInit or /nIntr is cleared, that channel is field disabled (Disable). For channel-prefix differences, see Settings.

LPT Decode Settings
  • Data0 (LSB): Eight data channels; set only the LSB—others are assigned automatically.
  • /nWrite: Indicates transfer direction.
  • /nWait: Acknowledges that a transfer has finished.
  • /nDStrb: Indicates a data cycle.
  • /nAStrb: Indicates an address cycle.
  • /nInit: Termination to return to Compatibility mode; optional. Field enabled (Enable) when checked. Default: cleared.
  • /nIntr: Interrupt signal; optional. Field enabled (Enable) when checked. Default: cleared.
  • Report: Report-type option. Field enabled (Enable) when checked. Default: cleared.
