Protocol Decode settings. Review the common notes on this page, then select a protocol from the left menu.

Channel number prefix

Note: Except on BusFinder or LA instruments, where channels are often prefixed with A (or a slot letter), most other product lines use the Ch prefix.

Assign channels according to the UI on your instrument. If a screenshot uses a different prefix than your model, follow the on-screen labels.

How protocol pages are written

  • Typical sections are Decode Settings (parameters) and Result (example decode views).
  • Parameter descriptions follow that protocol’s Decode settings dialog.
  • Options that become editable only when checked are described as field enabled (Enable) / field disabled (Disable).
  • Entering XXh / XX means that byte (or field) is don’t care (any value).
