HDQ

HDQ was defined by Texas Instruments for battery-management display applications in consumer electronics. It supports 8-bit and 16-bit data widths with a fixed 7-bit address. A packet mainly consists of Break, 7-bit Address, 1-bit R/W, and 8-bit or 16-bit Data. Transmission is LSB to MSB; maximum rate is 5 Kbit/s.

HDQ Decode Settings
  • Channel: Assign the HDQ channel on the logic analyzer0.
  • Show Battery Information: Show command exchange between the battery monitor IC and the battery. Field enabled (Enable) when checked. Default: cleared.
  • Inverse Waveform (IDLE Low): Invert the waveform. Field enabled (Enable) when checked. Default: cleared.

Result

  • Write: Write data, followed by the data.
  • Read: Read data, followed by the data.
