USB PD 3 (USB Power Delivery)
USB PD (Power Delivery) 2.0/3.0 uses BMC (Biphase Mark Coding) for Type-C power/charging (laptops, tablets, phones, power banks, etc.); up to 240 W (e.g. Rev 3.1).
Wrong CC wiring or VDM config affects decode and vendor messages. See Settings.
Decode Settings
- Channel: Configuration Channel (CC) **CC1** and **CC2**.
- VDM: When checked, field enabled (Enable) Vendor Defined Message; reads Structured VDM SVID/Command from the config file (Edit/Refresh).
- Up to 32 VDMs (
##VDM1–##VDM32). Leading##XXXis a keyword—do not reuse elsewhere. Each VDM has a Header (first Data Object) plus VDO(s) for the Command response. - Header is wrapped by two
#Headerlines for SVID/Command. Example:Bits<31:16>,8087,Intel Vendor-defined message;Bits<4:0>,10,DISCOVER_BUTTONS. - VDOs use
#VDO 1,#VDO 2, … for bit fields (reserved or function bits). Other Commands (e.g. 1Ch) can be separate##VDMblocks. - Show 5b value in waveform: Show 5b instead of 4b when checked. Default: cleared.
- Details Report: Finer bit decode of Data Obj(s). Field enabled (Enable) when checked. Default: cleared.
- Preamble 32b: Default: cleared.
Result
