HID over I2C (Human interface device Over I2C)
HID Over I2C (Human Interface Device Over I2C) is mainly used on Windows 8 ARM platforms; HID Over USB is used on x86 systems. On Windows 8, a common device that supports the HID Over I2C bus protocol is the touch panel.
Wrong Address Mode or Ignore Glitch settings can yield incorrect address/data decode. For channel-prefix differences, see Settings.
Decode Settings
- Channel: Assign Logic Analyzer channels for SCL, SDA, and ATTN.
- Custom Format: Customize part of the parse content. Field enabled (Enable) when checked. Default: cleared.
- Setting: Opens Notepad to edit the decode format: CMD, {Name of parse field 1, Number of bytes in parse field 1, Arrangement of parse field 1}, ……
- Address Mode:
- 7-bit addressing: Show a 7-bit address and 1-bit Rd/Wr. Default: this mode selected.
- 8-bit addressing (Include R/W in Address): Show an 8-bit address (7-bit address plus 1-bit Rd/Wr).
- 10-bit addressing: Show a 10-bit address.
- Ignore Glitch: Ignore glitches caused by slow transitions. Field enabled (Enable) when checked. Default: checked, < 2 sample points.
