Protocol Reference
Every protocol guide in this section follows the same layout:
- Introduction. What the bus is, and the settings that matter most.
- Decode & settings. Channel assignment, the decode parameters and their defaults, and how the result appears in the report.
- Trigger & settings. The protocol-level trigger conditions.
A protocol with no Trigger & settings page cannot be triggered on: the analyzers do not currently support it.

- How decoding works: adding a decoder and assigning channels.
- How triggering works: Pre/Post/Delay trigger, Pass Count, and the Clause and Parallel Clause editors.
- Decode settings reference and Trigger settings reference: conventions shared by every protocol page.
Finding a protocol
- Browse protocols groups every protocol by category.
- Trigger support lists the protocols that have a Trigger & settings page.
- The Protocols menu in the sidebar has one entry per protocol.
