USB4/TBT3 SB Channel
USB4 can carry DisplayPort video and PCIe through Intel tunneling and supports PD (Power Delivery). It is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 3.2 Gen1/Gen2 and supports Thunderbolt 3/4. In USB 3.2 the sideband (SB) channel carried Alt-Mode video-protocol traffic (for example DP Alt-Mode AUX over sideband). USB4 extends SB for link detection, channel bring-up/teardown, initialization, and sleep entry/exit; Thunderbolt 3 connections enable Thunderbolt Alt Mode.
Wrong version or Tx/Rx setup misinterprets traffic. For channel-prefix differences, see Settings.
