eSPI Trigger (Enhanced Serial Peripheral Interface)

eSPI trigger supports Format / Opcode / Response / Status / CRC errors and Clause Trigger pattern match on Command / Response and Data.

See Settings and Clause Trigger.

Trigger Settings

eSPI Trigger

eSPI Trigger
  • Channel: Assign CS / CLK / IO / Alert (channel indices omitted).
  • Start up settings: Default I/O, Alert, and CRC behavior at start-up.
    • IO Mode: Single / Dual / Quad. Default: Single Mode.
    • Alert Mode: Alert From I/O[1] / Alert Pin. Default: Alert From I/O[1].
    • CRC Mode: CRC Check Enable / Disable. Default: CRC Check Enable.
  • tCLQV: Output Valid time. Default: 15 ns.
  • Trigger on (Error): Opcode / Format / Response / CRC / Status Error. Default: all cleared.
  • Clause Trigger: See Clause Trigger.
  • State: Combine Opcode / Response fields and enter a data pattern; XXh = Don't care.
    • Data Dir: Match Data in Command or Response. Default: Command side.
    • Opcode / Response: Default index 0.
    • Data Offset: With Any Offset checked, search the pattern inside the frame; if cleared, match from the frame start. Default: Any Offset checked, offset 0.

eSPI Clause Data Offset

eSPI State: Data Dir / Data Offset

With Any Offset cleared, bytes are compared from the start of the frame (for example D0 = 13h matches only the first byte). With Any Offset checked, the consecutive byte pattern is searched in the frame (for example D0 = XXh, D1 = 11h triggers when the second byte is 11h).
